Dowels

Dowels are fasteners that are fixed in various ways in load-bearing bases and hold any structures.

Dowels are installed in the base for the possibility of further screwing, gluing or driving other fasteners into them (screws, self-tapping screws, etc.).

Dowels consist of two main parts:

• non-distorting: does not participate in fixing;
• spacer (working): changes its size when a connection is formed.

Dowels can also have cuffs - a border around the hole, which does not allow falling into the base. The cuff can be rounded, hidden or cylindrical.
