How to choose fittings for SIP
Before buying, evaluate three main parameters:
1. Destructive load (measured in kN). It shows what kind of mechanical force the product can withstand before breaking. 4-12 kN is usually enough to enter the house.
2. Corrosion resistance. Fittings for outdoor use must have a protective coating: hot zinc is best, galvanizing with a polymer layer is acceptable.
