Automatic circuit breakers (circuit breakers) are switching devices that are capable of conducting electric current for a given period of time in the normal state of the network or automatically stopping the passage of currents under specified conditions (for example, short-circuit current).

Such machines are designed for reusable protection of electrical equipment against overload, short circuit or unacceptable voltage drop.

Circuit breakers are made in a dielectric case. Structurally, circuit breakers are of thermal and electromechanical types.
