Humidity sensors are devices that convert indicators of relative air humidity into certain values (usually capacitive value).

Based on the principle of operation, DWs are optical, capacitive, thermistor and resistive.

The sensing element in humidity sensors is often polyamide.

There are sensors that have voltage output signals that are proportional to the humidity value. These are multilayer sensitive elements with alternating polymer and spongy platinum, which are deposited on a silicon substrate to normalize and amplify the received signals.
