Electric cartridges are products designed to fix and transmit electric current to light sources. Cartridges are an integral part of any lamp. A lampshade, a ceiling lamp and light flux control devices are attached to the cartridges.

Cartridges consist of three parts:

• an outer cylindrical body in which a threaded sleeve with an Edison thread is fixed;
• bottom;
• ceramic insert.

The current is transmitted from the conductors to the bulb base through brass contacts and threaded mounting strips.
