Nuts

Nuts - fasteners with a threaded hole inside, which form the connection of parts and structures with screws, bolts or studs.

Nuts are usually hexagon wrench shaped, but may also be square, round, or other shapes.

Nuts are made of carbon unalloyed and alloyed steel. They can have different strength classes:

• 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12 - for nuts of normal height ≥ 0.8d;
• 04 and 05 - for narrow nuts with a height of 0.5d - 0.8d.

The strength class depends on the stress from the test load in MPa. The higher the strength class of the nut, the less likely it is to break the thread when connected to the bolt.
