Heat shrink tubing is mainly used for insulation of current-carrying wires and contact elements of circuits. The main feature of a heat shrink tube is the ability to change (reduce) its diameter when exposed to high temperature. The tube tightly covers the object, which allows it to be used not only for the electrical insulation of the wire, but also for the mechanical protection of the connection. And the presence of heat-shrinkable tubes of various colors allows you to use it as a color marking .
