PTC thermistors (posistors) are semiconductor devices whose electrical resistance increases with increasing temperature. That is, they have a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR).
Posistors are thermistors, which are made of solid solutions based on barium titanate, in which the TCR index is an order of magnitude greater than that of metals and their alloys.
PTC thermistors can be low temperature (for operation at temperatures up to 170 K), medium temperature (170 - 510 K) and high temperature (570 - 1300 K).
