Semiconductor modules are power semiconductor devices (a set of two or more semiconductor structures interconnected according to a certain scheme into a single structure). They are used to build elements of electrical systems for various purposes: rectifiers, inverters, voltage converters or frequency converters. Modules may include the following power elements: diodes, thyristors, MOSFETs, IGBTs.

The price of a power semiconductor module depends on its functionality, switched current and voltage. Functionally, the modules are divided into: thyristor-diode, transistor-diode, half-bridges, three-phase bridges, powerful transistor assemblies.
