A transformer is a static electromagnetic device designed to convert electrical energy and transfer it from one circuit to another, which uses the properties of magnetically coupled circuits.
By purpose, transformers can be divided into power, matching, measuring.

Power transformers provide power to electronic circuits with a given voltage and, at the same time, provide galvanic isolation of the primary and secondary circuits. The line of power transformers is represented by models of various power (from 0.7 to 500 W) with a wide range of output voltage. The price of a transformer depends mainly on its power, number of windings, design.
The main manufacturers of power transformers are: Transvit (power transformers on a twisted magnetic circuit), Torel (toroidal transformers), Complex and Electron-Complex (power transformers for printed wiring, including hermetically sealed versions).

Matching transformers are used to match the resistance of various stages of electronic circuits, ensuring minimal signal loss and distortion. The use of a transformer can significantly improve the noise characteristics of the device. The range includes matching transformers both in SMD version, and for printed and surface mounting. Measuring transformers (or current sensors) are used to control the magnitude of the operating currents of motors, solenoids, control overloads, breaks in the circuit, while at the same time providing isolation of measuring instruments from the high voltage circuit, which ensures the safety of measurement.
