Compact power inductors of the CSPT1590 series from CODACA
To meet the design requirements of high-power density circuits in areas such as high-power DC/DC converters and point-of-load (POL) power supplies, CODACA has released the CSPT1590 series of compact high-current inductors.
A special feature of the series is their compact size of 15×16.26×10.16 mm, which effectively saves space on the printed circuit board. The nominal range of inductance values is from 0.3 µH to 1.5 µH with a saturation current range from 50 A to 17 A, respectively. The design of the choke is based on a manganese-zinc ferrite core and the technology of spiral winding with a flat wire "on the edge". This design significantly reduces direct current resistance (DCR), thereby minimizing direct current losses and increasing conversion efficiency. An additional third pin increases the soldering area, which effectively increases the anti-vibration resistance of the choke on the printed circuit board. The CSPT1590 series is designed for use in the temperature range from -40°C to +150°C.
Typical applications of the CSPT1590 series are PoL converters, DC/DC converters, voltage regulation modules (VRM), transient voltage limiters (VRD).
