EKF contactors of the KME PROxima series

A wide range of EKF contactors of the KME series is available and custom-made at the CHIP and DIP warehouse.
KME contactors are switching devices designed for motors with a closed rotor: start-up, shutdown without prior shutdown in an alternating current network with a frequency of 50/60 Hz with a voltage of up to 690 V (application category AC-3) and for non-inductive or low-inductive loads, resistance furnaces (application category AC-1).
The KME EKF PROxima contactors consist of a housing, fixed contacts fixed in it, and movable contacts fixed in the movable part of the magnetic system. The fixed part of the magnetic system is rigidly fixed in the KME housing. The spring prevents the contacts from closing. When voltage is applied to the control coil, a magnetic field is generated in the contactor's magnetic system, which, overcoming the resistance of the spring, closes the magnetic system and closes the contacts. When the voltage is turned off from the control coil, the spring opens the contacts. Aluminum and copper wire switching is possible.
Main Features
- The body and the movable traverse are made of heat-resistant plastic that does not support gorenje.
- It can be installed on both a DIN rail and a mounting plate.
- Availability of additional contacts for the organization of automation.
- The grooved surface of the additional contacts increases the current conductivity and reliability of the connection.
- Poppet clamps - for reliable connection of conductors.
- High switching resistance.
- The magnetic system is equipped with rubber dampers, which reduces noise during operation.
- The core is made of high-quality electrical steel, which allows the coil to securely hold the contacts in the switched-on state at normal control coil voltage.
- The self-positioning movable contacts can swing, are spring-loaded and have a spherical surface. The bridge contact creates the conditions for rapid arc extinguishing.
