HLG series of high reliability for LED lighting from MEAN WELL

LED lighting has gained its popularity for a number of reasons, including the possibility of its placement in various conditions. For outdoor lighting, LED lighting power supplies are subject not only to requirements for temperature conditions and tightness of the housing, but also to the requirement of maximum reliability. To meet this demand, MEAN WELL has developed a range of HLG LED lighting power supply series with high reliability and, consequently, with a maximum warranty period from the manufacturer.

HLG series power supplies are converters from alternating voltage of 220V (AC) to direct current (DC) for powering voltage–stabilized LED products such as luminaires, LED strips, modules and individual LEDs. HLG power supplies operate in a wide input voltage range from 90 to 305V (AC) and vary in series in rated power. – 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 185, 240, 320, 480, 600W. Power supplies are characterized by high efficiency – up to 96% (depending on the series):

The features of HLG power supplies are: stabilization of output parameters: voltage (up to maximum power) and current stabilization CV+CC; low self-consumption; built-in power factor corrector; metal housing; 7 years warranty. The output voltage of HLG converters is set from the standard range – 12, 15, 20, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54V (not present in all power series, it is necessary to specify according to the Specification).

The following modifications exist in the HLG series of power supplies (indicated by the last letter or lack thereof, for example HLG-120H-12A or HLG-240H-24B):

• There is no letter – the degree of protection of the housing is IP67. Without adjusting the output parameters and without dimming.
• A – enclosure protection class is IP65. Adjustment of output parameters (voltage and current) by built-in potentiometers (regulators). Without dimming.
• B – enclosure protection class IP67. 3-in-1 dimming (1...10V DC, PWM, external resistance – variable resistor). Without adjusting the output parameters (voltage and current). The dimming output is output via a separate cable.
• AB is the enclosure protection class of IP65. Adjustment of output parameters (voltage and current) by built-in potentiometers (regulators). 3-in-1 dimming (1...10V DC, PWM, external resistance – variable resistor). The dimming output is output via a separate cable.

HLG series power supplies are designed for use in LED street lighting, in high-span rooms (warehouses, hypermalls, industrial premises, etc.), parking spaces, outdoor lighting, etc.

Main technical characteristics and features of HLG series power supplies

• Extended input voltage range: 90...305V (AC).
• Wide range of output voltage (according to the model in the series): 12, 15, 20, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54 24V (not present in all power series, it is necessary to specify according to the Specification).
• Wide range of output power (by series): 40...600W.
• Voltage stabilization and current stabilization (at maximum power): CV+CC.
• The presence of a built–in power factor corrector (KCM) - all series.
• Protection: against short circuit, overload, overvoltage, overheating.
• Cooling due to natural ventilation.
• Enclosure protection class: IP65/67.
• Complete filling of the housing with a sealing compound.
• The manufacturer's warranty period is 7 years.
