DALI 2.0 is a new standard for brightness control in LCM–DA2 LED drivers from MEAN WELL
The DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) protocol is one of the most demanded standards for digital lighting control for flexible management of groups of lighting sources and scenarios of their operation depending on time or user preferences. Since the DALI Association has added new lighting control functions in accordance with the international regulation IEC 62386 to the products of the DALI 2.0 version, the entire lighting control system helps to achieve the following goals: easy setup, open system and high compatibility. Compared to the DALI 1.0 version, the DALI 2.0 version adds new entities and functions of control devices, thereby improving and complementing the overall DALI lighting system.
In order to expand the range and support the DALI 2.0 protocol, MEAN WELL has improved the functionality of power supplies for LED applications of the LCM series and released products that meet the requirements of the DALI 2.0 standard – the LCM-DA2 modification.
The appearance of the LCM-40DA2 LED driverThe LCM-DA2 LED drivers are power supplies operating in CC mode (Constant Current – current stabilization mode) with the ability to set the nominal value of the output current, with a rated power of 25, 40 or 60W. The output current is set using a series of microswitches 350/ 500/ 600/ 700/ 900/ 1050/ 1400mA. LCM-DA2 drivers are designed for use in LED lighting systems with different algorithms for operation using the DALI 2.0 protocol or with PUSH Dim control.
Connecting PUSHDim control using the example of LCM-60DA2LCM-DA2 drivers have a built-in power factor corrector, operate in a wide range of AC input voltage (from 180V to 277-295V), have low self-consumption (<0.5W), as well as protection against short circuit (output current limitation mode), overvoltage, overheating. The driver is cooled by natural convection, without using a fan. Ambient operating temperature: -30...+85-90°C.
The LCM-DA2 LED dimmable drivers are designed to create lighting systems for office, commercial and industrial applications, including lighting systems controlled by the DALI 2.0 protocol.
