PSC Series - MEAN WELL open type power supplies with UPS function

In some applications, one of the urgent tasks in creating a power system is to ensure the continuity or uninterrupted supply. Such power systems are called UPS, from the English. Uninterruptible Power Supply - uninterruptible power supply. In cases where end systems are powered by a DC voltage source, such a power supply unit is commonly referred to as a PSU with a UPS function if it provides for the connection of an auxiliary power source based on a battery. MEAN WELL offers three possible types of power supplies with UPS function - case type , DIN rail type , and open type PSC series.

The PSC series power supplies are an open type AC/DC converter with a DC UPS function with control of the AC OK input circuit and Bat.Low low battery discharge. The output voltage is optimized for use with rechargeable batteries - 12 and 24V, the rated power of the power supplies is determined by the series - 35, 60, 100, 160W. Distinctive features of power supplies with UPS function of the PSC series are - built-in battery charger, small overall dimensions, placement on a printed circuit board or in a closed metal casing ( PSC-35 , PSC-60 , PSC-100 series), and all basic types of protection : against short circuit, overload, overvoltage, deep battery discharge and polarity reversal when connecting the battery. The output voltage is optimized for the use of lead-acid batteries - 13.8V or 27.6V - on the main channel and the battery (charge) connection channel, has an adjustment within 12-15V or 24-29V on the load channel. The input circuit status control and the battery low discharge control are each a relay (dry) contact.

PSC-35 , PSC-60 , PSC-100 , PSC-160 series power supplies can be used as a built-in power supply in small-sized devices of security systems, emergency lighting, public address systems, uninterruptible power supply systems, monitoring, industrial automation and other applications.
