CHINT Circuit Breakers NB1-63 Series

Circuit breakers CHINT series NB1-63 are a fairly simple device for protecting distribution and group circuits from short circuit currents and overloads. They are used in input-distributing devices (ASU) of residential and administrative buildings, in the food, oil and gas and mining industries, civil engineering.
The features of circuit breakers NB1-63 include:
- high-speed switching mechanism;
- indication of the state of the contacts "On / Off";
- channel for deionization and cooling of exhaust gases switching;
- suitable for FORK rail, which reduces installation time.
Standard DIN-rail mounting greatly simplifies the operation of the devices. The wires are fastened with a screw connection. On the front panel there is an emergency switch for manual circuit on/off. The entire design of the circuit breaker is housed in a robust case made of refractory self-extinguishing plastic. The case practically does not smoke, and does not emit harmful substances. Installation of switches in crowded places is allowed. Another feature of the NB1-63 circuit breaker is the ability to "read" the leakage current values. This reduces the risk of electric shock due to human error. The speed of operation of the switch is quite enough to completely turn off the voltage if an accidental contact of the wires occurs.
The circuit breakers have three types of short-circuit operating characteristics and various applications:
Tripping characteristic | Value (In - rated current, A) | Application |
---|---|---|
B | 3-5 In | Protection of circuits against overloads and short circuits, protection of long cables of power supply systems with TN and IT grounding systems. |
C | 5-10 In | Protection of circuits against overloads and short circuits, protection of resistive and inductive loads with low impulse current. |
D | 10-14 In | Protection of circuits against overloads and short circuits, protection of loads with high impulse currents when the load is turned on (low-voltage transformers, discharge lamps). |
When mounting switches, ONLY copper wires are used.
The choice of wire section depending on the load:
Rated current (In, A) | Cross section of copper wire, mm² |
---|---|
1-6 | 1 |
10 | 1.5 |
16, 20 | 2.5 |
25 | 4 |
32 | 6 |
40, 50 | 10 |
63 | 16 |
Switches NB1-63 can have 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 poles.
