The range includes a moisture-proof DS18B20A temperature sensor with IP68 protection from UTD Semiconductor Co., Ltd, based on a chip of its own production DS18B20. The chip is a pin-to-pin analog of the DS18B20+ sensor from Maxim Integrated. The sensor is placed in a 6 mm diameter stainless steel sleeve and filled with a compound. For ease of connection to devices compatible with the DS18B20 sensor, versions with a cable from 0.5 to 5 meters are provided.

The sensor provides temperature measurement from -55°C to +125°C and transmits data as a digital signal with a resolution of 9 to 12 bits over the 1-Wire protocol. This protocol allows you to connect a large number of sensors using only one digital controller port and only two wires for all sensors: ground and signal. With a two-wire connection, the sensor can receive power directly from the data line, without using an external source (parasitic power). In this mode, the sensor is powered by the energy stored in the parasitic tank.

Regardless of the connection method, the signal wire must be connected to the power supply via a pull-up resistor, 4.7 kOhm is recommended.

It is ideal for measuring temperature in an environment unfavorable for microchips: measuring water temperature, rooms with high humidity, outdoors, soil, ventilation and air conditioning systems. It is not designed to work in aggressive environments.
