Description
The ThermoFuse™ varistor is a protective component that consists of a disk varistor connected in series with a thermal fuse.
In case of overheating of the varistor, the thermal fuse in it is activated, disconnecting the device from the circuit. This eliminates the risk of fire or damage to components near the varistor on the printed circuit board. The thermal fuse is located in a common housing with a varistor, the coating of which is made of fire-resistant plastic. The varistor has three outputs: two for the power channel and one for monitoring.
Applications: household appliances, power supplies, photovoltaic inverters, frequency converters and lighting ballasts, surge protection circuits and electronic meters.
