The principle of operation	At the intersection of the beam

The actuation distance is standard for BF4 series devices with a red LED and is 10% of the distance for the red LED when the green LED is applied. For devices of the BF3RX series, 40% of the response distance is applied.
- Min. The detection object is a value measured for an opaque material with an exact exit state and a response distance other than the maximum response distance.
When using devices with an arbitrarily cut cable, the response distance can be reduced by a maximum of 20% compared to a conventional device, according to the condition of the cable. [The FC-3 tool should be used to cut the fiber optic cable].
The FT-420-13 has been discontinued. Its replacement is the FT-420-13B.
The fiber-optic version (glass) belongs to the devices of the BF5 and BF4 series.
