Description
Metal film resistors are a ceramic base (rod or tube) coated with a conductive layer in the form of a thin film of an alloy with a high resistivity. Depending on the composition of the alloy and the number of turns of the cut spiral, their nominal resistance can vary widely. The end contact caps for these resistors are made of tompak or titanium. The caps are provided with wire leads for soldering into the circuit.
