Plexiglas is a transparent polymeric material characterized by high strength and thermoplasticity. Plexiglas is used for the manufacture of elements of housings and structures for which transparency and significant mechanical strength are required (for plexiglass it is seven times higher than for ordinary glass). Plexiglas is available with a thickness of 2.3 and 4 mm. In addition to its mechanical qualities, plexiglass is an excellent dielectric and is very resistant to biological influences, and is not afraid of low temperatures. Due to thermoplasticity, plexiglass parts can be produced using thermoforming without compromising the transparency and strength of the material.
