Optocouplers are electronic devices that serve to galvanically isolate electrical circuits. Separate components serve as the mechanism for converting an electrical signal in an optocoupler. An LED as an emitter, and a photodetector, in the form of a photodiode, phototransistor, photoresistor, photothyristor or photodinistor. It is the optical intrastructural elements of the optocoupler that determine its class and operating capabilities.
You can choose and buy the necessary optocoupler according to the existing catalog, namely, by the name of the component. However, a table with technical parameters will help you choose an analogue of the missing product. The first thing that determines interchangeability is the body type and the number of channels, respectively. The optocoupler output element type determines the output current, voltage, and maximum output power of the optocoupler.
