HD-VAR series capacitors from Shreem Electric are used for individual, group, centralized reactive power compensation in blocks, modules, capacitor banks and voltage installations of 400V, 415V, 440V, 480V, 525V, as well as in passive harmonic filters assembled on the basis of L-C oscillatory circuits.

The capacitors are manufactured using MKP technology using bimetallized polypropylene film and packaged in a cylindrical aluminum housing.

The terminals are made in the form of block terminals with an IP20 degree of protection, which allows for indoor installation. A bolted connection is provided on the bottom of the capacitor for mounting to the mounting surface and grounding the housing. Installation of capacitors is possible only in an upright position.

The HD-VAR series capacitors use a dual protection system. The possibility of self-healing prevents failure due to voltage surges, overcurrent or overheating. Also, these capacitors turn off when the pressure is exceeded. The over-pressure fuse is triggered as a result of vertical elongation of the housing, therefore, during installation, a distance must be provided between the capacitors to ensure cooling conditions, in the case of natural cooling of at least 20 mm. Compliance with these rules has a positive effect on the parameters and service life of the capacitor, which is 180,000 hours.
