Interlocking relays are devices with electromagnetic control. The E290 range from ABB can be used to implement a simple, energy-saving and efficient lighting control system. These devices are mainly used in private homes, industrial premises and commercial and public buildings, as well as in industrial enterprises. As a rule, interlocking relays controlled by pulse buttons are installed where it is necessary that lighting control be carried out from at least three different locations. Each time a command is initiated (by means of a pulse button), an electric pulse is applied to the coil of the locking relay. The coil in the device is briefly powered and activated. This short pulse per coil leads to a mechanical closure of the internal main contacts. The internal switching mechanism allows us to provide a safe and reliable lock (similar to a ballpoint pen). Each pulse sent to the magnetic coil system switches the device to its previous position, where it is mechanically held until the next control pulse is received.
